Our Week

Along with all the regular nuts and bolts, so far this week we've:

• continued with our study of ancient China
• went on two nature hikes - had a conversation with a barred owl, saw a deer, identified several tracks, explored the inside of a hollow tree, and lots more
• turned the card game War into a math facts lesson - much better than flash cards!
• joined a class on candy and plants at the local botanic garden
• worked on a Valentine's "mailbox"
• started reading The Lion, The Witch, and the Wardrobe
• rejoiced in the warmer temps earlier in the week; sighed at the return of the bitter cold mid-week
• finished knitting a scarf and started knitting a hat for a friend
• celebrated Chinese New Year

And on Friday, our co-op will explore Magic Squares.  All in all, a good week . . .
